About the role

The South African entity is recruiting for a fixed term Accountant (as maternity cover), who will be responsible for a wide variety of finance-related tasks. The position is ideal for a qualified finance individual that is diligent and keen to learn about the business.

We are looking for a motivated individual with strong attention to detail, and a passion for problem-solving. You should be confident working with and adapting to new technology, whilst remaining enthusiastic about contributing to a high-performing and supportive team.

Responsibilities 

  • Support the accounting system transition from Xero to Oracle Netsuite.
  • Support the finance department with external audit close out.
  • Support the FinAccs department with accounts payable, secretarial, reporting, analysis, taxes, compliance, budgets, month-end close out amongst others.
  • Support the FinOps department with treasury, business support, FP&A, budgets, forecasting amongst others, call centre queries.
  • General support to the finance department.


Requirements

  • BCom Honours Degree completed.
  • SAICA training contract completed.
  • Qualified CA (SA) or eligible.
  • 0 to 2 years post articles experience.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and good understanding of Tax principles.
  • Knowledge of Xero and Oracle Netsuite systems would be advantageous.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel / Google sheets.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
  • Attention to detail & ability to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
